American Express is to host an exclusive live-streamed performance from Coldplay as part of its long-running American Express Unstaged series, as the global services company continues to deliver engaging in-concert and at-home viewing experiences for new and existing customers.
The Grammy award winning group will perform live on the 26th October from Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid, two days after the release of their fifth studio album.
The event, created in partnership with VEVO and YouTube, will be captured and live streamed for a global audience through a unique partnership with award-winning filmmaker and celebrated photographer Anton Corbijn.
“Anton Corbijn has been a big hero to us for a long, long time so we're thrilled to be beaming this concert out to the world through his lens. We can’t wait to share this experience with him and with all of our fans watching ‘American Express Unstaged’ around the world. It's going to be big,” said Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
This is the sixth installment of American Express Unstaged, a series that has featured artists such as Arcade Fire, Sugarland and Duran Duran in previous editions and generated in excess of 40 million streams.
American Express Card members were rewarded for their loyalty to the brand with an exclusive ticket presale window, a good three days prior to general release.
