Fosters: Vordometer App

Foster’s is one of the few brands boldly forging an alignment with Comedy in a big way, from sponsorship of awards to resurrecting iconic comedy characters.  It’s latest effort sees the lager brand launching a humorous iPhone app, entitled the ‘Vordometer’, a simple photo based application that enables users to see what their girlfriend may look like in the distant future.

Users of the app simply upload a photo of their girlfriend to their iPhone and the Vordometer will then depict how they are likely to age.

The app is a spin off from the recent TV ad campaign, which saw the brand’s Australian agony uncles Brad and Dan encouraging a worried man to stay with his girlfriend as she may turn out to look like UK TV presenter Carol Vorderman rather than her mother.
