Jack Horner, our Creative Director just got home from Aarhus, Denmark speaking at a conference running alongside the SPOT Festival.
With Aarhus being positioned as European City of Culture for 2017 it's important they establish the city as having relevance culturally beyond Danish shores.
Danish music is at an all time strong - slick electronic pop and filthy dark rock filled the air. Highlights were Vinnie Who, the pint sized Bee-Gee 2.0, Ashbjørn & The Strange Ears, 18 years old and evoking Depeche Mode-esque influences (all the weirdness without the darkness of Gahan) and Oh Land, now blowing up in the US.
Definitively worth checking these all out.
