As an official supporter of the London 2012 Festival, Eurostar presented a one off festival in Granary Square, a chic new outdoor space up by Kings Cross. The festival was curated by Gilles Peterson and drew inspiration from different cities around Europe that Eurostar has been connecting over the last 18 years.
We had Plugs (signed to Eurostar’s very own record label) Baloji from Belgium (born in Congo), Ghost Poet from the UK, Benny Sings form Amsterdam, Brandt Brauer Frick from Berlin and the one and only Sebastien Tellier from Paris.
Besides the music there were live arts and dance performances with digital light painting from artist Mateo M, live drawing from Jason Atomic and Amsterdam’s Pedal Power Peep Show – a bonkers experience where sport meets live theatre.
A simple concept, well executed and totally on brand for Eurostar.
