A unique taste of the unexpected hit London last week as the Southern Comfort Juke Joint pitched up for “one night only” at Islington Metalworks.
The venue was transformed into the ultimate Louisiana House Party as old school horns and new school DJs were mixed up alongside delicious Southern Comfort cocktails (we are especially fond of the Louisiana Jam) and a host of colourful New Orleans characters, welcoming guests into “Our House, YOUR Party!”
The highlight of the evening came when house band, Bad Ass Brass, lead a second line procession through the crowd performing the Hot Chip classic “Over and Over” as an introduction to the headline DJ, Mr. Hot Chip himself, Joe Goddard.
The event followed on from a highly successful inaugural festival season at the Big Chill and V which saw the Southern Comfort Juke Joint shortlisted for Sponsor Activation of the year at the recent UK Festival Awards. Stay tuned for much more to come...
