Human Pac-Man

Pac-Man, due to its iconic gaming status, is a theme that resurfaces every now and again in a new format. We’ve had geo-location based human Pac-Man gaming across the streets of New York in the past and now the humanized version of the game has surfaced online.

French-Swiss artist Guillaume Reymond has recreated Pac-Man’s monster munching game play with help from 111 “human pixels” that make up the key features of the game across a 4-hour stop motion film.

The whole experience takes place from an overhead camera positioned within a cinema as the ‘human pixels’ – all wearing different coloured T-shirts - move across the seats.  The film forms part of the long running Game Over project, which also includes versions of other retro gaming classics, such as Tetris, Pong, Pole Position and Space Invaders.
