Red Bull is to launch an ingenious reworking of the musical podcast, staging a series of live gigs from within the Pods of the iconic London Eye.
The Red Bull Revolutions event is but just one element of Red Bull Music Academy's World Tour, which is set to stage a selection of dramatic musical experiences in Cape Town, Berlin, Paris, Melbourne and New York, among many other key cities.
The world tour will round up with a two-hour live event, which will place key musical influencers, DJs and bands - many from previous Red Bull Music Academy programmes - performing live inside the 30 pods of the EDF Energy London Eye.
The iconic London landmark will enable visitors to “dial into the sounds of London, one capsule at a time”, as the event showcases musicians who are making their mark on the globe.
It's a clever idea that really stretches the concept of the intimate gig, bringing attendees up close and personal with the musicians and providing a constantly rotating music experience that will be viewed in an entirely fresh way by the various people who hop aboard as the wheel turns.
