Music has always had the potential to have a more collaborative relationship than a passive relationship with its audience. Think about jamming nights in the local pub and we've got the physical version of this.
This video shows Griid - a piece of iPad software - being used remotely. What this doesn't show however are the range of applications this could provide. We can see it's good for the creator to use remotely on stage, but what about involving the audience? Give members of the audience pre-programmed iPads and get them jamming along with the star on stage and we've got virtual jam sessions via Wi-Fi.
Going further than that, what about people jamming together globally and creating and evolving music with their own cultural slant together with others around the world? A tempting proposition for a global brand.
