Following on from its successful string of quirky events, such as Vauxhall Skate, Vauxhall Ice Skate and Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club, the automotive brand is now turning its hand to a bit of Bingo calling.
However, “Be warned: this is not Bingo as you know it” states Vauxhall as the brand taps into a burgeoning Bingo trend from the US.
The event sees the brand staging a Bingo Night within a church in Manchester on the 1st December, as a select few grab their dabbers and set about attempting to win a brand new Vauxhall Corsa (worth over £10,000) which is up for grabs as the bingo jackpot.
Fashion icon Henry Holland will be providing entertainment in-between games, while DJ Rob Ellis (Galaxy FM) serves up musical accompaniment. A commissioned artwork will also be on display, showcasing a Vauxhall Corsa which has been wrapped in an eye-catching pastel bingo sheet design featuring in excess of 2,000 bingo balls carefully stuck on by hand.
This promotion, much like the recent Puma Social campaign, is utilising a growing trend that looks to harness the interests of the ‘armchair athlete’ by focusing on social sporting occasions from outside the mainstream. For the auto brand this presents an opportunity to stage a motor show with a difference, with entertainment opening the door to customers that wouldn’t necessarily set foot in a show room.
Tickets to the event are free, but strictly limited to the first 500. It you fancy getting along you can apply for tickets here.
