Welcome to the second edition of our collaborative zine series The FRUKT CONVO. In this issue we’re delving into the often-misunderstood world of gaming, as we look to shatter some of the perceived norms, champion a more inclusive culture and showcase how brands can play better in the space.
To help us unravel the ever-shifting landscape of what has become the dominate multigenerational entertainment pastime, we’re delighted to say we have enlisted influencer, activist and gaming champion Stephanie ‘missharvey’ Harvey as contributor and guest editor. As a five-time world champion in competitive Counter-Strike she is not only a pioneering trailblazer in the world of female esports, but also a former Ubisoft game designer, a brand ambassador for the Gucci Gaming Academy and most importantly for this ‘zine’ – a vocal advocate for a more inclusive gaming landscape.
Throughout this edition, FRUKT will look to challenge broader myths around gamer perception, offer brands unique ways to break into the space with maximum impact, and showcase the new trends, talent, events and industry changes you need to take notice of over the next year. Furthering The CONVO’s mission to be a conversation at the intersection of the entertainment and marketing industries, it also features expert contributions on the future of the gaming and esports scene from: Riot Games, G2 Esports, Excel Esports, Galaxy Racer, ESL FACIT Group, and Meltdown Esports Bars.
